Dr. Bordelon is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. He found his calling to veterinary medicine in high school when he was employed as a veterinary assistant under the mentorship of Drs. Plauche and Doiron.
His education consists of a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a Masters in Business Administration from ULL, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from LSU. Additionally, Dr. Bordelon’s special interests are in the areas of ultrasound, non-invasive surgery and internal medicine which led him to begin his International Certification in Veterinary Ultrasound.
His professional goals include practicing high quality veterinary medicine and focusing on client communication and education. Dr. Bordelon is a member of many professional organizations including the Acadiana Area Veterinary Association (currently he serves as Past-President), Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, International Veterinary Ultrasound Society, and The 705 (Young Professionals of Lafayette).
In his spare time, foremost, Dr. Bordelon enjoys spending time with his family. He is married to Tracie and together they have two sons and one daughter; Mason, Jackson and Madelyn. He is a proud pet parent of a miniature schnauzer named Beeren, a Labradoodle named Jett, and a beautiful Bengal feline named Abby. He is a musician and can be found volunteering at St. Edmond Catholic Church as a music minister, or playing with his Veterinary band, the Sinus Rhythms. He also enjoys golf and plays disc golf when time permits.
