Grooming:

LVCC Pet Resort offers a state-of-the-art bathing system and full grooming services for both dogs and cats. Our "Bathing Beauty Animal Bathing System" offers many advantages for both routine bathing and medicated hydrotherapy of various skin problems. The "Bathing Beauty Animal Bathing System" is a forced-water animal bathing system that drives shampoos through thick, heavy coats and down to the skin. A re-circulating pump produces a vigorous, penetrating, combing action spray of shampoo and water through a hand-held sprayer that enhances the effectiveness of shampoos, dips, and conditioners while using less product, time, water, and labor. Pets enjoy the massage-like treatment!

When you call to schedule a grooming appointment with one of our two full-time pet stylists, you will be asked what kind of service you would like your family companion to receive. We offer complete grooms, which include a haircut pertaining to that kind of breed, and Spa Treatments, that do not include a haircut. Each of these, regardless of how or if the hair is trimmed, includes:
• Bath
• Brushing
• Ear Cleaning
• Nail Trim

On average, dogs should be groomed every 4-6 weeks, depending on their coat. Many pets need to have haircuts, baths or be brushed out at regular intervals to prevent skin problems.  When purchasing or adopting a puppy that will require regular haircuts and brushing, such as Poodles, Schnauzers, Bichon Frises, Springer Spaniels, Lhasa Apsos, Shih Tzus and many others, we recommend to begin grooming them as early as 10 weeks of age.

By starting at 10 weeks of age, your pet will become accustomed to the sound of the clipper and standing for brushing and bathing by the groomer. The puppy groom includes trimming around the eyes, feet and sanitary area, a bath, nail trim, and ear cleaning. The more often you have your pet groomed, the more comfortable your pet will be and less likely of developing skin and coat problems.
