Veterinary Team

  • Dr. Andy & Dr. Kristin Plauche , Hospital Adminstrator & Practice Manager


    The owners of LVCC are Drs. Andy and Kristin Plauche.  Both graduates of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, where thet met and married, they have more than 35 years combined experience in the profession.

    Dr. Andy grew up in the small town of Plaucheville, LA.  One of ten children raised on a dairy farm he followed his passion for medicine and animals from St. Joseph High School to LSU where he attended undergrad and Vet School.

    Dr. Kristin grew up in Lafayette, LA and is a St. Thomas More graduate.  She completed her undergrad requirements at USL, then attended Vet School at LSU.

    Dr. Andy’s professional interests include ophthalmology and internal medicine.  Dr. Kristin has a special interest in behavior medicine, but currently serves as practice manager.  Both are members and past officers/board members of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, and the Acadiana Area Veterinary Association.  Dr. Andy is a member of the Lafayette Kiwanas Organization, and the Knights of Columbus, Broussard Council.  Both doctors feel an obligation to their profession, their community, and their church and remain very active in all of these areas.  They are founding members and officers in the Krewe des Chiens, a Mardi Gras krewe for dogs that hosts a parade and ball to raise money for local animal shelters.

    Dr. Andy and Dr. Kristin have two children, Jo Beth and Drew. They share their home with a number of pets, including dogs, cats, horses, and chickens.  Their hobbies include camping, hiking, and skiing.
  • Angie Sanders , Associate DVM


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2003.

    Raised in Baton Rouge, Dr. Sanders graduated from Bishop Sullivan High School, and attended undergraduate at LSU and received her DVM from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.  In veterinary school she served as the Hill's Pet Fare Manager and received the Nestle Purina Leadership Award.  She was also a past President and current member of Acadiana Veterinary Association, member of AVMA, AAHA, LVMA, and Louisiana Academy of Veterinary Practitioners. 

    Dr. Sanders got her start in the veterinary field when she began volunteering as a veterinary assistant as early as age 11 and eventually became a veterinary technician at Old Hammond Veterinary Hospital in Baton Rouge where she worked for 6 years.  She states that growing up in a large family she was always surrounded by numerous pets and had a desire to be a veterinarian from as early as she could remember.  She has a true passion for teaching and special interests in internal medicine and oncology.   Dr. Sanders strives each day to provide the most personal care to her patients and clients and hopes to enhance the human-animal bond.

    Dr. Sanders is married to Travis Frank of Baton Rouge and together they have sons Anderson and Hudson.  Their pets include 2 cats - Phoebe and Fletch and a wonderful beagle - Buddy.  In her free time, Dr. Sanders enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family.

  • Marc Bordelon, DVM, MBA, BS, , Associate DVM


    Joined the LVCC Team as a Veterinarian in 2009.

    Dr. Bordelon was born in Lafayette and raised by his mother, Cheryl and his grandmother, Madeline.  He graduated from Northside High School where he first realized his passion for science and medicine.  After working with several Veterinarians as an assistant, he became employed with Doiron-Plauche’ Veterinary Hospital.  It was here that his interests in veterinary medicine peaked under the tutelage of Drs. Plauche’, Sanders and Doiron.

    During these six years, Dr. Bordelon completed his schooling at the University of Louisiana Lafayette earning his undergraduate degree in Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry.  In 2000, he received a graduate degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA).  He worked for eight years in the environmental field (1996-2005) but found his true calling was veterinary medicine.  He then applied to veterinary school in 2005, was accepted and completed his coursework at LSU and graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2009.

    Dr. Bordelon’s professional interests include diagnostic imaging (Ultrasonography), dermatology and internal medicine.  He is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association (LVMA) and the Acadiana Area Veterinary Association.  He volunteers his time as a choir member and director at St. Elizabeth Seton and with the Krewe des Chiens.

    Hobbies of Dr. Bordelon’s include reading, watching movies, working on computers and playing musical instruments.  He often performs locally and he records his own music.  He is an avid musician and plays the guitar, bass, piano/keyboard, drums and saxophone.  Dr. Bordelon and his wife, Tracie have been married since 2002 and have one child, Mason Alexander who was born in November 2008.  They are also pet parents of four dogs at this time, Maggie Mae, Ludwig, Beeren (all Schnauzers) and Snuggles (Toy Poodle).

Customer Care Team

  • Allison , Practice Manager


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2009.

    Allison’s formal education is in business management and staff supervision, with work experience on the management side of the veterinary field. She is currently studying to sit for the exam to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, and is an active member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association.

    Allison came to work for LVCC after moving to Lafayette from Daytona Beach, Florida.  What she enjoys most about working for this hospital is the dynamic team approach to enriching the health and the lives of companion animals, and promoting the human-animal bond through outstanding patient care and client services.

    In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, water sports, cooking, and taking flying lessons from her husband, Allan, who works as a pilot.  Allison and Allan’s four-legged family includes Melany – a Hound mixed dog, Mason - a Maltese, Miller- a Corgi mixed dog, Zeus – an Abyssinian mixed cat, and Reuben -  a Marshall ferret.  They are proud to say that each of their companion animals has been rescued through the years and have individually rounded their house into a home.

  • JoAnna , Customer Care Supervisor


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2000.

    JoAnna came to work for LVCC in 2000 before pursuing her bachelor's degree in Business Administration and marketing from the University of Louisiana Lafayette.  Following completion of her degree in 2005, JoAnna became our Customer Care Supervisor and began assisting in Public Relations and Marketing.

    JoAnna and her husband, Scott, have been married since 2007 and in 2010 had son, Parker.  Their family also includes Fergie - a domestic short-haired cat, who they rescued as a young kitten.


    In her free time JoAnna enjoys reading, going to the movies, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Keverly , Pet Care Supervisor


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2001.

    A graduate of Acadiana High School, Keverly was a stay-at-home mom until joining the LVCC Team in 2001. Keverly works as our Pet Care Supervisor for the pet Resort and says what she loves most about her job is getting to know and love all of the clients and patients.

    Personally, Keverly is an avid gardener and enjoys collecting any and all kinds of clocks.

    Keverly and her husband Earl together have five children – Breann, Deacon, Zach, Luke, and Ranger. Their family also includes a Chihuahua – Jose, a Schnauzer – Waylon, a coon cat – Bubba, and a black cat – Bullet, who loves to take baths!

  • Dawn , Office Manager


    Joined the LVCC Team in 1995.

    Dawn began working for LVCC in 1995 after years of being a career mom to her two children.  Dawn states that her love of animals and the people she works with make LVCC a fun place to work!

    Dawn’s family includes her husband, Billy, two children – Taylor & Hailey, four cats - Mae Bell, Peanut, Snuggles and Tipsy as well as the Pugs, Thai and Petunia.
  • Marie , Bookkeeper


    Joined the LVCC Team in 1974, when the Doiron Veterinary Clinic originally opened!

    Marie's background is secretarial science and accounting.  Her special interests are tennis, gardening, swimming & reading.

    She has three grown children – Dwayne, Nannette & Kim and nine grandchildren.  In addition she shaes her home with Tinker, a Lab and three cats - Miss Kitty, Clifford and Bat.
  • Kaylin , Customer Care Specialist


    Joined the LVCC Team in 1997.

    Before coming to work for LVCC, Kaylin worked as a cosmetologist for 13 years and as a phlebotomist for the following 5 years.  She states what she enjoys about working for LVCC is interacting with our clients and their pets. 

    Kaylin's hobbies are reading, swimming, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren.

    Kaylin is married to Mike Bertrand and together they have seven children – Lacy, Terrin, Mikey, Jared, Brittyn, Andrew and Gavin.  She is proud to announce that she is now a "Gigi" to Cullen David & River Kailyn.  her furry family currently includes four dogs – Jazz – a yellow Lab, Bear – a Pit Bull, Layla – a black Lab, and Pina Colada – a Chihuahua mix and five cats – Elvis, Betty Lou, Cholleaux, Paco and Toulouse.

  • Heidi , Customer Care Specialist


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2008.

    Heidi went to school for, and worked in the dental field for three years.  Following her dental career she stayed home with her children for twelve years before coming to work for LVCC in 2008.  Heidi states when she decided to go back to work, she chose the veterinary field because of her love for animals.  "I have always wanted to work in this field since I was a little girl and  I am finally so very happy to be working with such wonderful doctors and staff" says Heidi regarding her work with LVCC.

    Heidi has been married to Jeff for 17 years and together they have three children – Jonathan, Dalton & Paul.  They also share their home with pets, Molly - an English Mastiff, Chewy - a Rottweiler, Zoey - a rat terrier, and cats Domino, Twister, and Whiskers.

  • Nita , Customer Care Specialist


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2009.

    Nita came to work for LVCC following a long career in the legal field.  She states that after 20 years of legal work, she decided to follow her passion for animals, which lead her right to LVCC.  Nita loves her work at the Pet Resort and feels that she has finally found a job where she  can make a diffenence.

    Nita and her husband, Johnny, have two grown sons, Jamie and Scottie, and two granddaughters, Brooke and Chelsea.  Their "other boys" as they affectionately refer to them, are two Papillions, Kelso and Monte.
  • Breann , Customer Care Specialist


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2009. 

    Breann joined our team in 2009 in pursuit of a career working with and caring for animals and the things she loves most about working for LVCC are just that.  She enjoys getting to know the clients and patients who come to the Hospital and Pet Resort and furthering the animal-human bond through our services. 

    Breann’s furry family includes Waylon, a Miniature Schnauzer and Axle, a Pit Bull.   In her free time she enjoys spending time with Waylon and Axle (of course!) and her family friends.  She also loves the great outdoors and enjoys most outdoor sports and activities.

  • Brittany , Customer Care Specialist


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2010.

    Brittany came to work for LVCC following her career as a nanny caring for three young children.  She currently works at the Pet Resort and is enjoying getting to know each of the clients and patients individually. 

    Brittany, her husband, Jordan, and step-daughter Alaina, share their home with a young cat named Moon Pie.

    In her spare time, Brittany enjoys swimming, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Sharlie , Customer Care Specialist


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2010.

    Sharlie came to work for LVCC following a career in the clerical side of human medicine.  Sharlie states she loves her job at LVCC and is happy to now see four legged patients!  She is also currently a student at the University of Louisiana Lafayette finishing her bachelor’s degree in Psychology in hopes of becoming an adolescent counselor one day.

    Sharlie and her husband, Tanner, share their home and hearts with two dogs, Ava, a Pit Bull/German Shepherd mixed dog and Ben, a Malti-poo.  In their free time they enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading and Church Community activities.

Nursing Team

  • Soldy , Nursing Supervisor


    Joined the LVCC Team in 1990.

    Born in Germany, Soldy completed a two year apprenticeship to become a Dr. Assistant/LPN for a gastroenterologist and worked there for ten years before coming to the US and joining the Doiron-Plauche Veterinary Clinic in 1990.  Her “specialty area” is dentistry, she says.  Soldy became certified in the area of dentistry nearly ten years ago and became the nursing supervisor at LVCC in March 2009.

    Soldy shares her home with a young German Shepherd named Saber, and three senior cats – Trouble, Caesar, and Sissy.

  • Nicole , Certified Veterinary Technician


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2003.

    Nicole has been working with animals since she was 15 years old, and naturally pursued a career in the veterinary field.  She completed the Veterinary Technology program at NSU and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 1998.   Nicole worked for several clinics before coming to LVCC, and states "when I came here, I knew I’d found what I was looking for."  Nicole has developed the reputation as the household “cat lady” – anytime a cat comes in you can rest assured she is right there loving on it!

    Nicole states she is currently owned by three cats - Amber, Bosco and Lexi - and one dog, Piper.

  • Kristin , Certified Veterinary Technician


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2009.

    Kristin came to work for LVCC in 2009 following her completion of the Veterinary Technology School program at Midland College in Midland, Texas.

    Kristin and her husband, Brandon share their home with their two wonderful dogs - Ariel, a German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix, and Nala, a Rottweiler/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, who were each adopted from shelters as puppies.  Kristin also shares her heart with her beloved Quarter horses who live on her family farm in Texas.

  • Dana , Veterinary Nurse


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2001.

    Dana came to work for LVCC in 2001 following her previous career as the assistant manager/head personal trainer at a health club where she worked for more than 7 years.  She fondly remembers visiting the Doiron-Plauche Veterinary Clinic for an observation interview and participating in surgeries for her first few days.  She smiles as she tells us, that this is when she knew that this would be her dream job!  Dana loves working in the veterinary field and is very proud of the career she has made here!

    Dana has been married to her husband, Clay, for more than 17 years now.  Together they have 3 children – a daughter, Taylor, and two sons, Stefan and Cy.  As a family, they enjoy swimming, fishing, football, and being outdoors. Dana's four legged family includes a lab – Cole Chicken, a rat terrier – Camo, and a Schnauzer named Koen or “Country”, Izzi Bell, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and a cat - Clark, each who they love dearly.  Dana enjoys her very entertaining household and states "there really never is a dull moment" in her life!

  • Catherine , Veterinary Nurse


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2005.

    Catherine came to work for LVCC in 2005 after gaining experience working for other clinics and a shelter.  She, as we are, is excited to call LVCC home.  Catherine is extremely passionate about her work as a veterinary Nurse, and enjoys every moment spent with the clients and patients of LVCC.  Both personally and professionally, Catherine is an avid supporter of animal rescue, spay and neuter programs, and also Pitbull rescue and rehabilitation.

    Catherine's special interests include pretty much all outdoor activities, especially horseback riding and spending time with her son. Catherine proudly announces that she is "the loving mother to a ball of fire 3 year old son named Adrian".  She is also the proud owner of a rescued Pitbull - Callie, three "fat cats" - Minnie, Fred and Poo, and four beautiful horses.

  • Mindy , Veterinary Nurse


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2010.

    Mindy began her first career in Early Childhood Education while attending the University of Louisiana Lafayette for her bachelors’ degree in the same.  In pursuit of a career surrounding her love for animals, Mindy came to work for LVCC in 2010 and now believes she has found her perfect job as a Veterinary Nurse.

    Mindy is currently owned by a beautiful young Pug, Maggie Mae, who enjoys going to the park, being read to, and being spoiled by Mindy in her spare time.

  • Talisha , Veterinary Nurse


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2010.

    Originally from Bay City, Michigan, Talisha, also know as “Tish” started her formal education at Michigan State University and transferred to LSU-Shreveport as a Criminal Justice major.  Working her way through college, Tish began working for a veterinary hospital where she found her calling as a veterinary nurse. Finally, in 2010, after moving to Lafayette, she joined our LVCC team.

    Tish and her husband, Shawn, have two beautiful, young children - Braeden and Kenna, who ask her every night if she had a good day “saving puppies and kitties.” Tish proudly answers “yes!” as she states she truly loves her job!  The family shares their home with newly adopted Tess, a domestic longhaired cat and two fish, Fishie Baby and Pumpkin.

    Her hobbies include outdoor activities with her family, fishing, target practice, and reading.

  • Kenry , Nurses Assistant


    Joined the LVCC Team in 1978.

    Kenry is a long-time member of our LVCC family joining the Doiron Veterinary Clinic, now Lafayette Veterinary Care Center, in 1978. He is a quiet, unassuming man who enjoys working with animals and they know it!

    What Kenry enjoys most about his work at LVCC is the bond he has developed with our long-time clients and patients.  We hope Kenry never retires!

    Kenry shares his heart with his beloved Beagle-mix dog named Travis.

  • Amanda , Nurses Assistant


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2007.

    Amanda joined our team in 2007 when she was looking for experience in the field of veterinary medicine.  Originally, Amanda was hired as a Pet Care Technician back at the Kennel, Inc.  Since then, Amanda joined the hospital nursing staff and currently works in between breaks while completing her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at LSU.  Amanda hopes to finish her education at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.  Amanda states she has learned more in her years at LVCC than ever before and she's excited for everything her future holds.  We just know she is going to be an amazing veterinarian!

    At this time Amanda owns one lively black lab named Lady.  She states that Lady is truly a joy and has taught her many lessons over the years.

  • Jocelyn , Nurses Assistant


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2009.

    Following an education in the human nursing field as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Jocelyn came to work for LVCC as the career offered a combination of her passion for medicine and animals.  She states that what she loves the most about working here are the wonderful clients and patients. “It really is a joyful place” she states.

    When away from LVCC, Jocelyn enjoys spending time with her husband, Shannon and daughters Miriah, Brianna and Cierra.  The family shares their home with a Pekingese - Honey, a Mixed Breed Dog - Romeo, and a Domestic Longhaired Cat - Miley.  Together they enjoy the beautiful Louisiana outdoors while camping, swimming and fishing.

  • Nicholas , Nurses Assistant


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2010.

    Following his graduation from Cypress Falls High School, Nicholas started his career in caring for animals with his first job working on a horse farm.  With a long-term goal of becoming a certified veterinary technician, Nicholas began working for the LVCC Hospital to gain experience in the animal nursing field.  What he loves most about his job is actually spending time with each of the patients and clients and educating them on pet care and well-being.

    In his spare time, Nicholas enjoys listening to music, riding horses, and of course spending time with his own dogs, Lucky - a Black Lab and Dolly - a German Shepherd Mixed dog.

  • Katie , Nurses Assistant


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2010.

    Katie joined our team in 2010 when she was looking for experience in the field of veterinary medicine. As a student at Our Lady of the Lake College, Katie hopes to complete her undergraduate education and attend the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.   We just know she is going to be an amazing veterinarian!   Additionally, Katie holds a Bachelors degree in Humanities and has work experience in Personal Training and Fitness Writing. Her area of special interest is Pet Therapy.

    Personally, Katie is an exercise enthusiast and enjoys spending time with her two dogs - Lola, a Lhasa–Apso and Hamburglar, a Beagle Mixed dog.

  • Patrice , Nurses Assistant


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2010.

    Patrice came to work for LVCC in 2010 with more than 11 years of veterinary experience behind her.  She came knowing that what she loves most about the profession is her role in helping animals, but she states now that she also loves being part of the great LVCC team.

    Patrice is the mother to two beautiful daughters, Chelsie and Paige, and one beautiful Cocker Spaniel, Molly Anne. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her significant other, Billy, her family and friends, relaxing in the pool and riding the motorcycle!

  • Zach , Nurses Assistant


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2010.

    Following completion of the Veterinary Assisting Program at the University of Louisiana Lafayette, Zach joined the LVCC team in 2010 to start his Veterinary Assisting career.  Zach states what he enjoys most about working for LVCC is …. everything!  He states he enjoys getting to know the patients and seeing the diverse cases.  However he also enjoys his co-workers, the wonderful staff of LVCC, equally.

    In his personal time, Zach enjoys seeing movies and spending time with his friends and family, especially his best friend, CoCoa, his German Shepherd.

  • Hannah , Nurses Assistant


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2010.

    Hannah came to work for LVCC in 2010 following a clerical career.  She is currently completing her Nursing degree at the University of Louisiana Lafayette. Her long-term career goal is to work as a nurse in the human medical field.  However for now, she is readily gaining experience working with the four-legged patients of LVCC.

    In her free time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Trent, and their family of dogs, Couper - a French Bulldog, Bleau - a Pit Bull, and Crank, Reddick and Blackie - Belgian Malinois.

Pet Care Team

  • Janet , Pet Care Technician


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2007.

    Janet is originally from Metairie, LA and moved to Lafayette in 2007.  She reflects back on her quest when she saw Doiron-Plauche Veterinary Clinic, knew she loved animals, and decided to walk in and began a new journey.  Janet currently works at the LVCC Pet Resort.  She is a certified Pet Care Technician now and loves every minute of her work.  Janet notes her special interests as "loving on your pets while you are away, caring for their needs and making them feel at home".  She also enjoy being outdoors, bird watching, and "Breyer's chocolate mint ice cream with hot fudge!!"

    Janet's furry family consists of Thomas - a Chihuahua mixed dog, Faith - a Rottweiler mixed dog, and Annabelle -  a beautiful white Persian cat.  Janet notes that the highlight of her day is bringing Thomas and Faith to the open field near her home and letting them run.  She says playing chase with Thomas and Faith is fun, but Thomas usually - well, always wins!

    Joined the LVCC Team in 2009.

    Born and raised in England, Julie worked in pet stores and vet clinics before getting married and moving to the US with her husband, Troy and son, Kevin.  Julie spent the next several years staying home with Kevin, before going back to work in retail.  Finally, Julie followed her passion of working with animals right to the LVCC Pet Resort in 2009.  Today, Julie is a certified Pet Care Technician taking the utmost pride in caring for your pets while you are away.

    Julie's companion animal family includes her four cats and German Shepherd, Schultz.

  • Matt , Pet Care Assistant


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2008.

    Matt joined the pet care team at the LVCC Pet Resort in 2008 as a junior at ULL.  Since that time, he has completed his Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science , and is now planning to gain his certification as a Pet Care Technician.  Matt's long-term career goal is to own his own pet daycare center and/or boarding facility.  Until that time he is readily gaining experience and enjoying every moment of his work with the clients and patients of LVCC.

    Matt currently shares his home with his two terriers, Buddie & Buddy.

    Brad is currently a student at the University of Louisiana Lafayette majoring in Media Arts and Broadcasting.  What he loves most about working for LVCC are his co-workers and the fun atmosphere they and the pets create.

    In his time away from LVCC, Brad can be found studying, of course, or working as a DJ. His special interests include music of all kinds, computers and spending time with his dog, Cassie - a young dachshund.

  • Anndrea , Pet Care Assistant


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2009.

    Anndrea joined our LVCC team in the summer of 2009 while on her summer break from St. Thomas More High School.  She continues to work summersand states she loves being able to work and interact with the animals.  Her favorite times are playtimes offered by the Pet Resort where each pet gets individual time and attention.  Anndrea states it’s often the best part of her day when she is spending individual time with these pets who just love to love. 

    In her spare time, Anndrea can be found spending quality time with her own dog, Buddy, hanging out with friends, or reading and listening to music.

Pet Grooming Team

  • Silvia , Pet Stylist


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2000.

    Silvia was born and raised in Italy and has been living in the US since 1992. After graduating from UL Lafayette with a degree in Foreign Languages she decided to follow her passion which has always been working with pets. As an ABKA certified Pet Care Technician she served as office manager of The Kennel for Drs. Plauche for the first three years in operation, starting in 2000. When they discontinued grooming services in 2003 and couldn't find a qualified AND compassionate groomer, Silvia decided to pursue a career as a professional pet stylist. She graduated from grooming school in May 2003 and has been with LVCC ever since. Her genuine love for pets and talent for grooming have kept her appointment book full. Silvia's unique gift for gaining trust of shy or difficult dogs has earned her the nickname "The Dog Whisperer". She loves all breeds and specializes in senior dogs and those with special needs, treating her clients' pets as if they were her own.

    Her four legged family includes four dogs - Romeo, Esmeralda, Polly, and Tequila Boom Boom and two cats, Asterix and Lili. Her hobbies include photography, travel, yoga, cooking, reading, art, speaking and translating foreign languages and just enjoying life!

  • Stephanie , Pet Stylist


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2006.

    Born and raised in Lafayette, Stephanie graduated from the University of Louisiana Lafayette in 2004 and began her work in the pet care field. She states "since I always had a passion for animals, I decided to start a career in this field so I applied at The Kennel. Stephanie started working there as a grooming assistant in 2006.  She then decided to learn the trade of grooming with Silvia, and started her grooming career in July 2008.

    In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, listening to music, and creating collages.

    Stephanie's family is spread between Lafayette where she and her parents live, and Austin, Texas where her brother lives with his wife and two children.

    Stephanie's companion animal family includes Princess Lola - a Yorkie, Spanky - a Jack Russell/bull TERRORIST mix, Tango - a long-haired Chihuahua, and her sweet cat, Angel.

  • Melinda , Bather


    Joined the LVCC Team in 2010.

    Currently a student at the University of Louisiana Lafayette studying Animal Sciences, Melinda's interests are painting, activities with family, horseback riding, and anything outdoors.

    Her family includes husband, James, our son, Dante', four boxers - Rusty, Deuce, May, and Izzy, our Lab - Harley, Quarter Horses - Baby and Stoney, and Dante’s tank full of goldfish, each yet to be named. 

    What Melinda loves about working for LVCC is the unique gathering of diverse people and pets coming together in a new and exciting way every day.
